An undergraduate formal exploration and proposal for study pavilion,
with prof. Fiona Lim Tung.
A pavilion developed using broken shards as a building unit. Shards were scaled up and intentionally sized to serve as benches, shelves and desks.
The pavilion proposal offers cavernous spaces devoid of hyper-designed programming. Semi private and fully private rooms and alcoves are to be occupied in a carefree manner, determined by the students, whether they want to study or to nap. The architect’s intention takes the backseat in the proposal.
