A (kinda-laneway) Housing Design proposal,
with prof. Petros Babasikas.
A proposal completed for a studio which demanded the design of the client as much as the design of the mixed-used house itself.
The studio demanded for a design of a residential and commercial program, and the proposal accommodates the small family on the first two floors, prioritizing spaces of gathering over spaces of privacy, and allows for a childcare/community centre to exist in the third and fourth floors (the cantilevered form).
The house aims to become a home, the cantilever becoming an urban living room and a vital community hub in Kensington Market, Toronto.
